Sim Information
Pakistan Mobile Sim Information 2023…
Sim Information System is a relief and convenience for users of different mobile operators. The inundated use of Sims has raised serious questions against the legal distribution and use of Sim cards in Pakistan.
WHAT IS A SIM CARD?
A SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card is a small, removable card that contains a microprocessor and memory. It is used in a mobile device, such as a smartphone, to store information that identifies the subscriber, such as the subscriber’s phone number and billing information. The SIM card also contains a unique identification number, called an IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity), which is used to authenticate the subscriber to the mobile network. This allows the subscriber to make and receive calls and use mobile data services.
Sim Information System In Pakistan:
In Pakistan, the SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) Information System is a database that contains information about all SIM cards issued by mobile operators in the country. The system is maintained by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the regulatory body for the telecommunications industry in Pakistan. The SIM Information System is used to verify the identity of SIM card holders, prevent fraud and illegal activities, and assist in investigations and law enforcement efforts.
The SIM Information System is designed to ensure that all SIM cards in Pakistan are registered with the correct personal information of the subscriber, including the subscriber’s name, address, and national identity card number. When a new SIM card is activated, the subscriber’s information is entered into the system by the mobile operator. This information is then verified by the PTA to ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date.
In addition to identifying the subscriber, the SIM Information System also tracks the location of SIM card usage, which can be used to assist in investigations and emergency response efforts.
As of 2021, PTA has implemented a new policy in which all mobile SIM cards, either new or existing, must be re-verified through the Biometric Verification System (BVS) or submitting a valid original CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) copy.
PTA SIM Information System Via SMS:
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has implemented a system that allows individuals to check the registration status of their SIM card(s) via SMS. This service is designed to help users verify that their SIM card is properly registered and associated with their correct personal information.
To check the registration status of your SIM card(s), you can send an SMS to 668, with the format “Reg <space> CNIC (without dashes)”
For example: “Reg 4220123456789”
The PTA will then send an SMS back with the details of the SIM card registration status. This will include the SIM card’s mobile number, the subscriber’s name, and the CNIC number registered with the SIM card. If the SIM card is not registered, the message will indicate that the SIM is not registered.
It’s worth noting that this service is only available for SIM cards issued by mobile operators in Pakistan, and is only for the SIM cards registered under the same CNIC number as the one provided in the message.
This service is available for prepaid and postpaid customers, and it is free of cost. It’s a very helpful tool for people to confirm the SIM card registration status, and take actions if the SIM card is not registered or registered under different CNIC number.

How to Check SIM Owner Name?
In the United States, you can contact your mobile service provider to request the name associated with a specific phone number. You may need to provide identifying information, such as your own name and address, as well as the phone number in question. You can also contact the carrier by visiting their official website or local store.
For other countries, the way to check the owner name of a SIM card may vary. You may need to contact the mobile service provider or check the official website. Some countries also have a public database where you can check the information of a SIM card, if the government allows it.
